Complete Smile Rehabilitation

Patients who require restoration of their complete dentitions are treated by our team of specialists (Drs.Frantz and Langan - periodontists, and Dr.Palermo - Prosthodontist). We also liaison with specialists in Endodontics (root canal therapy) and Orthodontics (braces) when needed. These complex multi-specialty cases require an experienced team that can manage all facets of the smile rehabilitation. Our team customizes every treatment for each individual patient depending on their goals and needs. We will often use a combination of traditional therapies (such as porcelain crowns or ‘caps’ when the teeth and gums are healthy enough to predictably restore) and dental implants (for teeth that can no longer be predictably rebuilt with traditional approaches).

Steven came to our office with several primary (‘baby’) teeth that never changed over to permanent (‘adult’) teeth. He also had problems chewing because his bite never fully developed. We diagnosed Steven with a dental developmental disorder known as Ectodermal Dysplasia. Using a combination of dental implants, porcelain veneers, and traditional porcelain bridges, we rebuilt Steven’s entire dentition.

Linda came to our office complaining of dark and stained teeth, an unpleasant smile, and worn down caps and bridges. Her existing restorations had multiple cavities and required additional root canal procedures. Since Linda had strong enough teeth and gums after the cavities were removed, we restored her smile with a combination of traditional porcelain caps and bridges, and porcelain veneers.
